Alicia came to the U.S. when she was very young. Her family knew almost no one. But today, she proudly says she was not only able to adapt to a new way of life, but thrive in this country. With the passion to serve others always burning inside her, Alicia entered the behavioral science field as a therapist. It was deeply rewarding work, but it left little time to spend with her family. In 2015, her life partner, Presidential Director Cobi Ben-Bassat, introduced her to Kynect. And a year later she was beginning to see her life change and her world open up. Now, Alicia is a 300 Club member and winner of the Power of Leadership Award. And not only does she have more time for her family, she has more time and opportunity to help people.
“It’s tremendously humbling to inspire those who were once strangers to join me in this. It’s become my goal to inspire others to believe we are worth more,” she said. “I will carry on my mission to help others reach their goals. It’s the only way I am able to reach mine.”
